ALPHA-H Liquid Gold

I recently ordered The Cult Beauty Box by Caroline Hirons (see post here: https://irishallure.com/2015/09/01/the-cult-beauty-box-by-caroline-hirons/) and while I was on the Cult Beauty website I picked up ALPHA-H Liquid Gold.

I have heard so many good things about this product and I have been dying to try it out myself.

This product is an award-winning treatment that targets wrinkles, sun damage and pigmentation by using low pH delivery system. Basically, it works overnight to “brighten and revitalise” both tired and ageing skin and improves your complexion.

The key ingredients include glycolic acid, licorice extract and silk proteins and it is recommended for mature skin.

It is advised that you cleanse your skin as normal and apply the Liquid Gold to your face, neck and décolletage using a cotton pad every second night. Once dry, apply your usual moisturiser or serum as normal. If you would rather an intense treatment then do not follow with anything after the Liquid Gold.
I got my bottle at http://www.cultbeauty.co.uk for £33.50

Charlotte Tilbury – I love you!

With my big holiday fast approaching, I decided it was time to invest in some new foundation which would match my tan perfectly. I initially intended to have a look at the NARS counter as I do love all things NARS… HOWEVER.. as I approached the beauty department, the new Charlotte Tilbury counter was calling my name, literally.

I had heard so so much about her products so I decided I might as well test out the foundation. Of course, this led to buying much much more and a massive dent in my holiday fund!

Well, I warned you! I picked up Wonder Glow primer and foundation. These two products are amazing alone but when used together – I’ve never seen anything like it. I had an instant glow while the coverage was just perfect.

Not to mention the packaging.. rose-gold and luxurious.

After the base and foundation was applied. She recommended trying the Filmstar Bronze & Glow Face Sculpt & Highlight. I had heard a lot about this one but I was happy with my everyday NARS bronzer and MAC highlighter. When she tried it on, I thought “ok this is good but should I get it?” – she took me to a larger mirror and I could see the highlight working perfectly on my cheekbones, nose and cupids bow. The bronzer was just perfect – not leaving a “dirty” look at all but still contouring and leaving me looking like I was back from my holidays. It was even more amazing than the Wonderglow. If you see in the pictures below, the amount of product you get is unreal. She warned me not to drop it and I would have this baby for a long long time.

Finally, I decided to check out the lip products.. you know… while I was at it! I chose the “Very Victoria” matte lipstick with the Lip Cheat pencil. These two are perfect for work, nights out or any event. The staying power is amazing and the lip pencil will suit many other lip products.

I am so in love. Sorry dear boyfriend, you have Charlotte to compete with now.

Let me know if you’ve tried any of the above or could recommend any more products in the range! xoxo

Benefit Cosmetics Event With Beaut.ie Dublin

I love makeup. I love Benefit. I love events. So as you can see, this evening was right up my ally.

Benefit and Beaut.ie held an event for all us Irish beauty lovers in the Residence Members Bar in Dublin. It was totes amazing.

We experienced makeovers, master classes, a question and answers session, goodie bags, food and plenty of bubbly.

There was a room full of goodies to try and buy with discounts. I decided to top up with The Porefessional and Gimme Brow. Both great products.

All in all, it was a beautiful fun evening xxx

They’re Real Push-up Liner – Benefit!

Hey guys,

So I was fortunate enough to get my hands on the new push-up liner from benefit cosmetics on Friday, one day before the launch.

It came with a sample size of the “they’re Real” remover which luckily removes this product very easily. Without this you’ll be scrubbing at your eyes for quite some time!

The price wasn’t bad at €25. I had the girl in the store try it out on me… and boy was it perfect! Matte, easy to apply and a solid black line in one go. I’ll add some pictures of the different ways you can use this once I get to play around with it. 🙂

Let me know if you have tried it yet. Do you like a wing or a simple neat line? Let me know what you think! Lots of love xxx

GLAMGLOW Eye Treatment

Well HELLO GLAMGLOW!! I do love a good eye treatment. GlamGlow Brightmud eye treatment is a little pricey but worth the hype. I have tried the original GlamGlow but I really wanted to try this eye treatment as I have missed a few beauty sleeps lately and work long hours.

As with all the GlamGlow packaging… it’s big, it’s flashy but I like it.

photo 1photo 2photo 3photo 4You get 12 little packs with a left and right eye slot which contains the product. This is great because it tells you how much to use per eye. You tap on, wait 3 minutes and then wipe off. So simple and so good. However, given the cost I would suggest using just one slot of product for both eyes as there really is enough for both. This means you will get 22 uses out of the box instead of 12.

See my results from just 1 use below and let me know if you have tried it xxx
