Outfit Inspiration Feat. Boohoo & New Look

Hi guys,

I love browsing through various online stores and adding items to my wishlist. I’m always coming up with outfit ideas and looking through magazines for inspiration. Boohoo and New Look are my two favorite online shops at the moment.

So for this look below, I found all items on Boohoo. This site is very inexpensive and I love the quality and range of items.

What to Wear? Winter Footwear

If you’re anything like me and have all your winter clothing sussed but seem to be at a loss when it comes to winter footwear – then you’ve come to the right place.

This year, I seem to get ready for work no problem. Hair, easy. Makeup, easy. Clothes, easy. However, I end up standing there in my bare feet and think to myself what shoes go with this and why do I not have warmer ones. Everything it my closet seems to be flats, Toms, heels or flip-flops.

Here in Ireland, it’s November and it’s a damn cold November at that. So with all that in mind, I think it’s time to stop shopping for more clothes and start thinking about my poor cold feet.

I’ve been searching through my local stores and online and I’ve found a range of winter footwear that I have on my list for my next shopping trip.

Erin Condren Life Planner

A bit late to the game I know! I finally got my Erin Condren life planner this week.

First of all, just look at the way the planner arrives below. The box already made me feel extra excited for what was inside. On opening, the planner was wrapped up in beautiful tissue paper along with the extra pens I chose to go with it. The packaging is so pretty it makes everything extra special

On top of the tissue paper were a few inspirational stickers and a business card – so cute.

I also received the 6 extra fine fiber point pens – to doodle in my planner of course!

Savory Sunday – Butter Chicken Recipe!

Ingredients

  • 4 medium sliced, diced chicken breasts
  • Mixed vegetables of your choice (sweetcorn, peas and spinach used here)
  • 1 jar of Patak’s Butter Chicken cooking sauce.
  • Cashew Nuts
  • Oil

Method:

Add 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil to the pan and heat up for 1 minute. Then add the 4 chicken breasts and fry until the meat has browned in colour on both sides. Continue by adding your chosen vegetables and cashews and allow to cook for about 15 minutes until the chicken is cooked through.

Step 1

We are using Patak’s Butter Chicken which is my all time favourite sauce. This one we picked up in Aldi for €1.49!

Pour the sauce over the chicken and vegetables and allow to simmer for 15 minutes.

IMG_20140406_193841

You should stir occasionally to make sure nothing sticks… try not to taste it as it cooks (Seán….)

While this is simmering, we added some brown rice to a pot of boiling water which cooks in 15minutes just as your butter chicken is ready.

Serve & eat!

This was the perfect Sunday evening meal before the work week starts. Good thing we have leftovers too!!

Essie Peach Daiquiri!

essieEssie Peach Daiquiri: €9.99 at http://www.boots.com

This weekend I was heading to a naming ceremony in Dublin. I wore black skinny jeans, black ankle boots and a white and blue stripped jumper. So, to brighten up my nails I choose Peach Daiquiri by Essie. After trying 4 colours from the collection they have quickly become by favourite. They literally last me all week and each weekend I change it up for another colour.

This polish is advertised as a refreshing sweet yet fruity, powerful cocktail – and it is!! It was a perfect polish to brighten up my outfit for spring!

Let me know what colour to try next! 🙂

URBAN DECAY – Glinda Palette Review

UD1

This beautiful unique palette from Urban Decay comes with a selection of 8 colours in 6 pans. It is was designed by Urban Decay to help you create looks like that of the Glinda character in the Disney movie. First off, I am a big fan of Urban Decay since before the Naked palettes, naked foundation, eyeliners and more. I have always found that their shadows are so pigmented and easy to use in many different ways. I wear the colour Sin to work everyday.. it’s just me in a shadow pan..!

Anyways, gushing aside, this palette I was late on the bandwagon with. I picked it up in Paris on my birthday. Luckily it was 50% off – bargain!!

Along with the beautiful shades above you get the 24/7 glide-on eye pencil in the colour “Rockstar” AND a super-saturated high gloss lip colour in “Glinda”.

Tornado

Tornado: A deep purple with a slight shimmer. This applies with such ease and blends out for a smoked out look. The colour is very build able so you can control the intensity of your look.

aura

Aura: A split-pan with different duochrome whites shadows. The first has a violet iridescence. and is so beautiful once your eyes hit the light. The second has a rose iridescence. Both so unique. There is some fallout when using these so be mindful of that but they are so worth it!

magic

Magic: A soft rose pink shadow with some slight gold micro shimmer. I find it hard to use pinks sometimes but this is subtle enough to blend in with other complimentary colours without being ‘too pink’ all over.

illusion

Illusion: A flesh-toned peach with a hint of pearl.  This shadow is perfect as a lid colour to open up your eyes and make them seem bigger and brighter instantly.

Oz

Oz: A split-pan shadow with a chrome silver and a beautiful gold. These shades contain so much glitter – perfect if that’s what you are going for but beware of the fallout and I suggest using sparingly! … still beautiful shades *sigh*

South

South: This is my favourite colour from the collection. A beautiful metallic taupe brown that works with so many looks and on so many areas of your eyes. The perfect thing about this palette is that all the shadows pop out of the tin and can be used in other Urban Decay palettes if you want to make your own collection.

UD4 UD5

As you can see, I put my fingers on them for a few seconds and they come out so pigmented. They are all eye catching colours and so versatile. I can see myself using these colours with other palettes as they compliment many looks.

UD12 UD11

The Super-saturated high gloss lip colour in “Glinda” is an opaque neutral pink. The texture is creamy on your lips and does not dry up. This is a great day colour and I wear it to work a lot because it fades off naturally and can then be reapplied.

UD10 UD9

The 24/7 glide-on eye pencil in the colour “Rockstar” has an incredible formula. Like all the 24/7 eye pencils from Urban Decay. It is a purple/brown colour which again is great for a softer look during the day.

Eugh, did I mention I LOVE URBAN DECAY???? For those of you who have tried their products, you get me!

Let me know what you think and lots of love x
